Big Mike's Steakhouse - Orange Beach: A Flavorful Culinary Experience

Got there around 4 to avoid a long wait, but they were already crowded. Said it would be 40 minutes, but we were welcome to go to the bar area in the back to wait. We did, and the time went by fast. Our seating was a bit cramped with 6 adults and a baby in a car seat. The food came out very timely and was delicious. That 8 oz baseball sirloin was amazing! Cooked perfect and the perfect portion with the best price. Im still dreaming of it! Will make this a must stop when we vacation here again!

Great selection and Steaks are Phenomenal! Our favorite place in Orange beach to eat. You will not find a better place!! Steaks are big enough to share as well. The bread was awesome as well. Service is great. You might have a wait but it’s worth it!!

THIS PLACE IS A MUST GO I use to be vegetarian mikes statehouse will change that!! It is amazing best steak I’ve ever had! I was vegetarian for 9 years I’m really picky about my meats it just weirds me out and this is DELICIOUS I had no issues would turn a vegan into a meat eater! Fast service amazing waiters they were on top of it! And super friendly great atmosphere we didn’t have to wait long but I promise you it’s worth the wait we got the cheese sticks as well they are the best I’ve ever tried! If you haven’t tried this place what are you waiting on

We came on late, not realizing they were closing. They kept the kitchen open. The service was great. We had shrimp and a rib eye steak and fries. The food was hot and good. The flavor was delicious in both but the ribeye was a little chewy and fatty, yet flavorful. I’d recommend. One of our top two dinners in Orange Beach area.

Best food and best service ever! Our server Kristie was so bubbly and sweet. My sweet tea never once got close to being empty, she was on top of it!! The steaks were delicious and cooked to perfection as well as the fried mushrooms and banana pudding . Will definitely be returning.

I have been to the Orange Beach location two times over two years while visiting on vacation. Both times there was a lengthy wait (around an hour plus) but both times the food and service was completely worth it! I had the Fillet with blackened rice, & potato casserole. Everything was amazing. The fillet was cooked medium with bacon wrapped around it. It was tender, juicy and smoky as well. It was delicious. We also had the mozzarella wedges for an appetizer they were crispy and cooked perfectly with a gooey center. Mikes has become a must visit restaurant every time we vacation here.

Shared the 9oz bacon wrapped filet with baked potatoes and salad. The filet was as tender as a waygu steak and as flavorful. Hands down one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. The onion straws and pumpernickel bread were a great addition!!! Will definitely be back when in the area. Parking was a bit difficult but totally worth the wait in the back sitting area/bar. We chose the option to sit at the bar and only waited 15 minutes for our seats.

We were looking forward to this night out during our vacation. We knew about the wait for a table and were prepared. We found a spot in the shade in the back by the bar. We enjoyed the fried wickles pickles as an appetizer and drinks while we waited. The outside atmosphere was open and great. We all enjoyed the steak, with different sides. Potatoes, sweet potatoes, and salad were all tasty and worth the wait. Inside, it was hot and crowded. I am more sensitive than my friends about crowded places, but the heat made it a little uncomfortable for us. They were probably trying to serve as many as possible as quickly as possible, so the front door was open a lot. We were seated by the door. Our waitress was knowledgeable and friendly, but the staff that brought out food spilled salad dressing on one of our party. We are pretty easy going, but a little help preventing staining would have went a long way. We will return, it was still a great experience. We will not go on a holiday weekend in the middle of summer.
